Sunbury

This vibrant area 29 km northwest of Melbourne is perfect for those looking for pretty streets lined with native trees. You can do country living here without the laborious commute into the city every day. The CBD is a 30 minute drive away and Tullamarine airport even closer - only 10 minutes drive.

Sunbury is a newly developing residential area, as the area remained largely rural until the 1970s. The lifestyle suits all people, as the locals are friendly, and the town centre and surrounds are quaint. Schools, public transport and all amenities are all conveniently accessible. There are numerous sporting clubs and associations and the town centre has many department stores and food outlets.

There are numerous tracks, parks and reserves to relax in and explore, including Emu Bottom Wetlands, Evans Street Wildflower Reserve, Heysen Drive Reserve, Holden Flora & Fauna Reserve, Langama Park, Stewarts Lane Nature Reserve and Sunbury Recreation Reserve. The various wineries are some of Victoria’s oldest, there is little traffic so it’s safe for children and the neighbours love to stop for a chat. There are lovely views of the Macedon ranges that are complemented by large spacious blocks of land.
